Stefano Micelli is professor of e-business in the department of business economy at Ca’ Foscari university, Venice, and dean of Venice International University. He is also the director of TeDIS, a leading research organization at a national and international level which is concerned with the diffusion of new information and communications technologies for small and medium-sized firms. Besides his research activities, he is also a consultant both for various important firms in the ICT sector and for public administrations at a national and international level. For the Veneto regional government’s department of productive activities, he acts as a backup for legislative activities for innovation and industrial districts. He collaborates with Formez’s public functions department for defining e-government projects. He regularly publishes articles and comments in the Il Sole 24 Ore newspaper as well as in the main specialized national papers.
