MARINA SALAMON: FREEDOM IS FOUNDING YOUR OWN FIRM

Marina Salamon was born in 1958 and today is a successful businesswoman; in the 1980s she founded Altana Spa which is now the most important Italian firm for children’s clothing.
In the service sector, in 1991 she gained control of Doxa, the Italian leader in the field of market research and in large-scale industrial, goods, and services research. In 2006 she added Methodos to these, the Italian leader in change management processes and in expert training of human resources.
In the same year she obtained a share in Banca Ifis, controlled by Sebastian Von Furstenberg and quoted on the Star index in the stock exchange, and founded, together with Emma Marcegaglia, Arendi, a firm for the production of innovative photovoltaic plants.
Also involved with social concerns, she was part of the governing body of Venice, side by side with Masimo Cacciari.
