FRANCESCO PROFUMO: INNOVATION IS WHAT PUSHES THE COUNTRY AHEAD

Francesco Profumo began his career in 1978 as planning engineer in the research and development department of the Ansaldo society, Genoa, where he remained until 1984.
In 1984 he moved to the department of industrial electrical engineering in Turin polytechnic where he was professor until 1995. Currently he is professor of machinery and electronic activation in Turin polytechnic and university lecturer at Bologna university.
Among his other assignments, he was visiting professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, U.S.A. from 1986 to 1988; he worked in the department of electrical engineering at Nagasaki University, Japan, from 1996 to 1997; in the department of electrical engineering at the Czech Technological University-Prague, the Czech Republic, in 1999; and in the engineering faculty of Cordoba university, Argentina, in 2004 and 2005.
